Womancation Day 3

Weather and timing resulted in some plan shuffling and as a result we have gotten to squeeze in some unplanned stops...and some fun!
First stop this morning was in the Catskills and what is the biggest draw in the area (for me)? Woodstock NY. While not the actual location of the concert, the town bears the name and hypes the reputation. It is a cute little hippie town and we had a great time looking at tie-dyed tshirts and listening to street performers.
On to the Hudson Valley - we headed to Hyde Park and saw the beautiful campus of the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) and FDR's home. Learned a lot about the former president that I'd never known but a sudden down pour cut the visit a little short.
Next stop, Mystic, CT. We had all seen and enjoyed the '80s movie Mystic Pizza and were DELIGHTED to know that there actually a Mystic Pizza restaurant. So of course that was the dinner destination. Full of photos and memorabilia from the movie,the atmosphere was very entertaining and the pizza and salad were both a slice of heaven! The town is adorable and we all agreed it would be fun to spend a few days there...another time.
We have our revised agenda ready for tomorrow that necessitates an early alarm. So I'm of to bed!
