Womancation - Day 0

Another Womancation has come and gone. I'm back to the grind of life and work and wondering how it all went by so fast. (deep sigh) But if the next best thing to being on a trip is planning one...then the next best thing after that is reliving it. So here's a look back.

Day 0 - Boston, MA

I flew into Boston before the other event participants and I got to do some wandering around Boston. This was my first (but surely not last) trip to Boston and I loved it!

Not far from my hotel, I met up with the Freedom Trail. I didn't get a chance to do the whole thing start to finish but enjoyed what I did have time to see. After a beautiful walk to the Navy yard, I got to wander around the deck of the USS Constitution. The ship is the world's oldest floating commissioned naval vessel and was built in 1794. Sure she's experienced some upkeeping over the years but still.

And here I am at the helm of 'Old Ironside'.

Here is the Bunker Hill Monument which actually stands on Breed's Hill which is where most of the fighting in the battle took place. Sadly I arrived just after 5 PM when the monument closed so I wasn't able to go inside. Next time.

And here I am at Boston Harbor. (No, there was no tea.) After one of my friends arrived, we spent the evening wandering around the harbor and the surrounding area.

Stay tuned for a Day 1 recap...

I love your shirt! It looks like a sailor's outfit :) So, you totally look at home on that boat!
