Entertainment in the Emerald City

This afternoon I met a friend for lunch downtown, not far from my office building. Little did I know the free entertainment the colorful folk of the Emerald City would provide on my short excursion. First, on my way into the restaurant, there was a man who once again reaffirmed my belief that public urination is an art form. Think about it, everyone needs to relieve themselves, whether you have a home with a private facility or you spend your days and nights in more diverse locales. And since downtown businesses are pretty stingy about who can and who can't use their water closets, those who look a certain way (no judgements, it's just the way it is) find creative ways to relieve themselves as discretely as possible. You know, sometimes. Next I was sitting in a food court, enjoying my lunch when I witnessed a very odd exchange/interaction between two men. I can't say for sure what was happening but a fistful of cash was produced by one of the men and then they both left the building and walked out of sight together. I have no idea what was said or if anything, other than money was exchanged however the bills I saw, appeared to be $50's. My guess is he wasn't paying for directions to the Space Needle. As my friend and I were discussing how weird the whole thing was, two police vehicles pulled up outside. At first I thought perhaps someone else had witnessed what I had and called law enforcement. Turns out the person who was cuffed and put in the back of the car was someone entirely different. I have no idea what his (alleged) crime may have been...but by that point, I would have been surprised at nothing. At the end of the day, I have to wonder what people who live in the suburbs do for free lunchtime entertainment. It must be so boring... :)
