The Captain

In general the Oscars are a painful industry indulgent self-congratulatory spectacle. However I watched last night's bru-ha-ha primarily to watch my favorite British dude win a well-deserved award. I first fell in love with him the very first time I saw him in Pride and Prejudice as Mr. Darcy in 1996 (and have watched the movie no less than 300 times since). A few years later I was talking to a friend of mine about how much we love Colin AND Mr. Darcy. It was then that he was nicknamed Captain Yummy Pants. And so he has been known since in my circle of friends and most recently by my mom - which I love! Take a gander at the photos below...you'll agree...he just IS 'The Captain'.

Love him so much and I'm so glad he was finally recognized for his brilliant work. :)
