Chelan

I finally went to Lake Chelan this weekend! It seems like everyone from Richland talks about going but somehow I'd never been. That is the case no more.
The weather this weekend was great - warm but not too hot, sunny and clear skies. And since its after Labor Day the crowds were fairly sparse which is always a bonus! On Saturday I took a little day trip to Wenatchee to watch my nieces swim meet. It was so fun to see her in action and to spend the afternoon with her and her dad. Other than that, my time was spent lounging by the pool, eating yummy food, throwing rocks in the lake with the kids or reading a book. Saturday night we were entertained by a thunder and lightning storm and just a few drops of rain. It was very pretty but as happens in dry climates, wild fires were ignited. We couldn't smell the smoke from where we stayed but driving home this morning we had a very good view of some of the flames next to the highway. Luckily we were able to get home without needing to take a detour.
All in all it was a fun and relaxing weekend that flew by all too quickly!

Great pictures of such a variety of things!! Which one is Kendell? Beautiful scenery. I'm glad you got to do so much in such a short amount of time. That seems to be the way you roll!!
