Fifteen Years Later

This summer marks fifteen years since six wide-eyed college freshman rolled into their very first apartment at Ricks College to meet their very first roommates. We were some of the lucky ones. We all walked away from that first year without any roommate battle scars (those would come from later experiences for some of us) and walked away with five new friends. In the years that followed, some of us were better about keeping in touch than others. But this past weekend one of my former roommies had a the brilliant idea to plan a get together and was gracious enough to host the event. We had a great time catching up, reminiscing and making new memories.

Here we are just before we moved out in the Spring of 1997. (We look like babies...)

and here we are in June 2011 (plus a baby, minus a couple of people who couldn't make it)

These two have been friends since they were kids. They're adorable, right. :)

So there's a story with the moose. Back in our college days, we all took turns posing for a picture while kissing Bullwinkle (the deer head mounted on the wall of my friend's parent's cabin that we periodically visited). We thought it only appropriate that we recapture some of the magic with this unsuspecting moose.

Thanks for all the fun memories ladies - this weekend and 15 years ago!

I love that you girls all got to be roommates and that you have been a positive influence on each other. You make your moms proud. This mom is very proud of all of you.
