The Southland

Last weekend I had the opportunity to go to California for a few day with my sister and my parents. We had a FANTASTIC time! We stayed VERY busy but managed to relax a little too. Most of the pictures are on my mom's camera so I'll have to get those over the holidays but here are a few highlights from my camera.

My sister and I landed in Long Beach and rushed to Universal to catch a Smashing Pumpkins concert that started just an hour after we landed. I think we missed the first song...not bad considering our commute started in Seattle. :)

I MISS YUMMY MEXICAN FOOD! One day I met up with some friends from my old office and we ate at Wahoo's - one of my favorite places to eat in Orange County.

Wicked - even after seeing it so many times, it's still such a fun show!

A couple of my old roommates/friends and I got to spend a little time together at Downtown Disney.

In all the six years I had an annual pass and frequented Disneyland, I had never heard of or seen the big choir performance in the park. Several choirs and orchestras performed Christmas songs on Main Street and the narrator was none other than John Stamos (aka Unlce Jesse). I have to admit, it felt a little odd to have him reading the Christmas story from the Bible...however it was a lot of fun too and the music was fantastic! (You have to take my word for it...the guy in the middle is John Stamos.)

And here's the castle...so pretty! I love Disneyland during the holidays!

It sounds like you had a great time! How crazy that John Stamos was the one to do the narration for the Candlelight Processional. Makes me wonder who else has done it in the past.
