Here we are as the ship is docking in Cozumel (note the inferior cruise ship in the background - Enchantment is way better than that one!)
Rather than wandering around the "authentic" Mexican delights such as Senor Frogs we took a boat over to the main land and arrived in Playa del Carmen.
We briskly walked through town and past all the shops :( to our tour bus that took us to Tulum. Here's what "they" say the city looked like back in the day.

And the ruins from the back side, with a view of the beach!
I might not look like I'm having a good time but I swear I was...however it was insanely hot and the sweat dripping in my eye prevented me from sporting a more pleasant expression.
And here we are yearning for the water. (Wait...it's coming...)
After wandering around Tulum we got back on the bus and after a short bus ride arrived at my new favorite place in the world.

Guess what? I just heard on the radio that starting in the fall, Carnival is going to have cruises every week heading out of Baltimore. Yeah!!!!! I immediately had all these aspirations of the sites I would see and how cheap it would be to book last minute fares and no plane tickets, until I remembered I had kids....that small little pesky (sorry Lacey!) factor :) btw, no baby yet!
